On the second day of Christmas,
I gave a gift to me:
Two great big hugs,
and an evening out just for me.
Think about what a hug does for you. It warms you up from head to toe and gives you a moment to breathe and relax. What are some things that you could do for yourself that would be the equivalent of a great big hug? How about:
- A bubble bath
- A DIY manicure or pedicure
- Recording your favorite show so you can watch it all alone, with no distractions
- Treating yourself to your favorite specialty coffee
There are dozens of ways to do something nice for yourself now and then, just to acknowledge that the work you're doing--like raising your kids and doing what you can to help others--really does matter. You are worth celebrating!
