I finally ordered Christmas cards tonight, after "forcing" my kids to don some festive attire -- and by that I mean anything red -- and stand next to the Christmas tree. I don't know about you, but I could use a breather right about now. A little sanity in place of the hustle and bustle that's supposed to make us grateful, but only makes us exhausted.

Are you with me? Let's take a little detour. Set aside the wrapping, the baking, and anything else on your holiday to-do list, and let's embark on a little journey: The 12 Days of Christmas Sanity.

Now, I know that the 12 Days of Christmas are supposed to begin on Christmas Day, but since our need for sanity is greatest on this side of the holiday, let's go ahead and dive right in.
