How I Choose My Topics:
My topics are positive and based on solutions using tips, schemes, and programs ... anything that helps single parents, particularly mums, to make life better for themselves and ultimately for their kids. If mums and dads can thrive, then so can their kids.
I used the pseudonym Bachelor Mum to avoid identification, which allows me to be free in my expression - although I keep it level so I'm not worried about whether people know who I am.
Advice
- I'm still learning and experimenting, but my best tip is to write ideas down and follow up on them when you are at home.
- I often draft my blog while traveling home, email it to myself, and then finesse/edit it after my child has gone to bed
- Write using your authentic voice.
- Keep the blog real rather than gimmicky - I want people to read it because they like the content, not because I can give them a free lavender soap bar.
