Whether you're divorced, never-married, or widowed, our site offers many different resources to help you. This tutorial will help you take a virtual tour of the site.

Let's start with the home page. The image above shows you a sample of the home page. What we'll do is start at the top and go around the page in a clockwise manner:

  • The top center of the page spotlights some of our most popular content. In this example, the spotlight is "Build Trust With Your Ex." Spotlights changes every day, though, so don't forget to take a fresh look at it the next time you come back!

  • Moving to the right, you'll find a box where you can sign up for our free weekly newsletter.

  • Beneath the newsletter sign-up you'll find the word "Discuss." This is a section where you can respond to blog posts, answer a "Readers Respond" question, or share your input.

  • To the left, in the center of the page and beneath the spotlight, you'll find our most recent blog posts. These are generally updated 4-5 times per week.

  • To the left of the blog, you'll see a list of categories. These are the different sections that contain all of our articles. One of the things that differentiates About.com from other sites is that we don't just have a blog; we also have solid content that is designed to address every area of single parenting. Take a look through the categories to find the content you need.

  • Above "Browse Topic" are some adds.

  • Above that, beneath my picture, you'll find links to the blog and the Single Parents' Forum. The forum is a place where you can come and meet other single parents, share concerns, get answers, and shoot the breeze about anything that's on your mind.

  • Above my picture you'll see the "Must Reads" section on the top left corner of the page. This is a series of articles that I've chosen to highlight because they either address common interests for many single mothers and fathers, or they contain seasonal information.
