Belongings Your Kids Should Keep at Both Residences
Minimize the Hassle of Leaving Important Belongings Behind

By , About.com Guide

Your kids' belongings are, obviously, very important to them. Whether it's a favorite toy, lovey, book, or mp3 player that your children hold most dear, it's important for them to feel they have ample access to it, even when they live in two different places. However, there are some things that you don't need to transport back and forth between two homes. In order to minimize the hassle of constantly leaving something important behind, make a point of duplicating the belongings your kids use most often.

Belongings to Keep in Both Residences:

  • Pajamas
  • Underwear
  • Socks
  • Jeans--at least two pairs
  • Basic T-shirts--two short-sleeved and two long-sleeved
  • A sweatshirt or hoodie
  • Shorts--at least two pairs
  • Bathing suits
  • Flip flops
