The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence provides crisis intervention, emotional support, legal assistance and advocacy, and additional support services to women in crisis. NCADV also helps victims create a safety plan, teaches victims how to protect their identity online and in real life, and teaches victims of domestic violence how to manage their finances and achieve independence. The Battered Women's Justice Project works to promote transformational change within the civil and criminal justice systems, pertaining to domestic violence. Some of the projects they are currently working on include the establishment of a set of guidelines for custody and visitation in domestic violence cases, community-wide safety audits, and consulting in domestic violence cases involving police officers.
The Family Violence Prevention Fund is working to put an end to domestic violence through prevention, education, and advocacy. Some of the most notable programs offered by FVPF include coaching boys into men, preventing reproductive coercion, and helping teens identify controlling relationship behaviors.
The National Center on Domestic and Sexual Violence works to provide training and consultation, as well as advocacy, in an effort to end domestic violence and sex crimes against women and children in our country. Some of their projects include the recognition and prevention of sexual violence in the military, and the training of health care professionals in assisting victims of domestic and sexual violence.
The National Network to End Domestic Violence works closely with victims of domestic violence, in an effort to change public policy and serve as an advocate for victims.
