Find a Single Parent Scholarship Program in Your State

If you're a single parent returning to school, consider the following scholarship opportunities at colleges and universities in the United States:

States A-L | States M-Z
Minnesota:
Coplan Donohue Single Parent Scholarship
  • Applicants must be single parents enrolled in Minnesota State University
  • Must be a full-time student
  • Each scholarship awarded is set at $2,000

Utah:
The Marriot School of Management at Brigham Young University
  • Applicants must be single parents with dependent children who are applying for undergraduate or graduate programs at the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University.
  • In order to apply, you must be accepted into a program offered by the Marriott School and be a student returning to school after taking a break for three years or more.

Washington:
Green River Community College
  • Applicants must be single parents with at least one dependent child residing at home
  • Must be able to demonstrate a financial need

Wisconsin:
The University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire
  • Must be a student at The University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire
  • Several scholarship programs are available to single parent students
  • Scholarships awarded are between $500 and $3,000.
  • Must show a financial need and be in good academic standing with the university
The University of Wisconsin – Madison
  • This program awards $1,000-$2,000 per year in scholarships to single parents.
  • Applicants must be UM-Madison students in good academic standing.
  • Must also provide evidence of financial need, as well as indicators suggesting your future academic success.
