    Money Management 101

As a single parent, the burden of managing your family's finances falls on you. How do you feel you are handling all of your financial responsibilities? If you're not sure, ask yourself a few questions:

    • Do you have a system for keeping track of your finances?
    • Do you pay all of your bills on time each month?
    • Are you able to save regularly?
    • Do you know how much money is in each of your accounts right now?
    • Are you able to live within your means (rather than relying on credit)?

If you answered "no" to any of the above questions, you could use some support in learning to manage your finances. After all, it's a skill that many adults were never "taught." And yet your family's financial security depends on your ability to manage money well, doesn't it?

That's why I've put together this 10-step plan to walk you through managing your personal finances, from gathering misplaced bills, to calculating your net worth, coming up with a payment plan for getting out of debt, and ultimately meeting your financial goals.

Each day for ten consecutive days, you will receive an E-mail walking you through one step in the process. The intent is to build your confidence and ability to tackle your finances in baby-steps and eventually get to the point where you're feeling more on top of things and better able to meet your goals.
