As a single mom, are you feeling pressure to stop breastfeeding -- or never start -- because of your child custody arrangement or visitation schedule? Know that you do have options.
Many single moms encourage short, frequent visits during the first few months of life, which makes it possible to schedule dad-and-baby time around feedings. Alternatively, you can stick around during their visits, or get into the habit of pumping breastmilk daily and maintaining a supply that your ex can use for feedings. Even if your baby doesn't take a bottle, know that this is an option you can turn to later, when she's ready for a sippy cup.
