An Emergency Ruling in David Goldman's Favor

ABC News is reporting that the Brazilian Supreme Court has now ruled that 9-year-old Sean Goldman must be returned to his American father, David Goldman. It's possible that the pair will be back home by Christmas, after all.

While it is a time of great celebration for all of Goldman's supporters, it's also important to remember that the reunion and journey will likely be bittersweet for the boy, who will be leaving his half-sister and his extended family members behind in Brazil.

International custody cases are never easy, particularly when children are passed back and forth. One can only hope that the family is granted grace and privacy as they make this critical adjustment.
