Does Barack Obama's History Make a Difference to You as a Single Parent?
Tonight Barack Obama accepted the Democratic party nomination in his bid for the presidency of the United States of America. And as I listened to his acceptance speech, I wondered how much of his history, being raised by a single mom, will influence single parent voters.
What do you think? Did you hear yourself in his words? Picture yourself as he told stories of his mom's dedication and sacrifice? Or, perhaps, think of your child when he mentioned (in the biographical film preceding the speech) being shaped more by his father's absence than his momentary presence?
