Consistent Co-parenting

Saturday February 23, 2008
Whether you're parenting young children or teenagers, it's helpful to develop some routines which remain consistent at each parent's residence. Keep in mind, though, that this does not mean that each of you must parent exactly the same way. On the contrary, it's important for you to develop your own parenting style and authority apart from your co-parent.

One way to do this is to communicate effectively with one another about your routines and standards and work together toward a level of consistency that's appropriate for your children. For a list of suggestions to help you build co-parenting consistency, read Consistent Co-parenting.
