Creative Ways to Make Holiday Dinners Fun

If you don't live near your extended family, you might find that it's just you and the kids on holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. What do you do to make the day extra special? Some things that have worked well for other parents are:
  • Serving fun appetizers
  • Decorating the table with placemats the kids have made
  • Playing board games
  • Reading books together as part of a regular tradition
