Friday October 5, 2007
Does the morning rush prove to be the most stressful time of your day? I know that on the mornings when I have to be out the door extra early, chaos is sure to ensue if I don't carefully plan out the details ahead of time.
You know how it is; every step - from getting the kids out of bed on time, to finding a pair of matching socks - takes longer when you're in a rush.
One thing you can to bring more peace to your mornings is help your kids to make a list of the things they need to accomplish each morning. This simple activity will help them identify their own responsibilities and come up with a process for getting their part of the job done. Even children as young as two can help by putting clothes in the hamper or adding napkins to each family member's lunch box.
