Preparing for Halloween

Last week we had our first bout of cool autumn days here, and while it wasn't fun convincing my 8-year-old that he needed to wear jeans to school instead of shorts, I have to tell you that the cooler temperatures have turned my thoughts to Halloween.
In fact, today, the kids and I are going to have a little try-on-the-hand-me-down-costume parade to see what fits and what doesn't. How about you?
